DO you want someone who can run a recruitment process for you? Do you need a quick and efficiently run recruitment pro- cess to ensure you secure the best candidate? Does your inter- view panel need guidance and coaching? If you are asking these ques- tions and if you are no longer happy with the scribes you are currently working with or if you would like your recruitment re- ports to be quality assured, Adecco Professional Staffing can help. Jo Roos from the Adecco Gov- ernment staffing business ans- wered the following questions about her experiences in APS recruiting: What is your background? I have spent the last five years working in the Canberra recruit- ment industry specifically work- ing with clients to assist with APS permanent recruitment. My aim is to develop long lasting relationships with my clients to assist them with effec- tive recruitment outcomes. We provide assessment and recruit- ment strategies, project plan- ning, delivery teams and man- agement of recruitment processes. You manage the scribing team for Adecco Government and have taken a slightly dif- ferent approach. Can you describe what you are hoping to achieve? We want to provide an easy, cost and time effective recruit- ment solution that will relieve the stress and administration associated with an APS recruit- ment process. We aim to add value for our clients with services that are relevant to their needs and budget. This may mean provid- ing a great scribe, delivering interview coaching to an inex- perienced panel or managing a complete recruitment process from the planning stage through to providing candidates with feedback. Our scribes all have APS back- grounds and extensive scribing experience. They are provided with support to ensure they are fully equipped to start working with our clients and I stay involved to manage delivery, and quality assured selection reports. Why have you taken this approach? Listening to my clients over the last five years has given me the understanding of the diffi- culties they face when embark- ing on a recruitment process. Managers running a recruit- ment process on top of their already hectic work loads, panels with no previous recruit- ment experience, managers starting a recruitment process without a clear picture of what is actually needed, panel chairs using scribes that don't show up for interviews or panel chairs having to rewrite a poorly craft- ed selection report; all of these factors generally result in a less than ideal outcome.
