A major, international research survey has shown that committed employees are 20% more productive and 87% less likely to leave their organization. RtP is sharply focused on strategies that are essential to increasing commitment levels, and as a result, productivity. On a cost per head per day basis, the workshop provides outstanding value for money. Feedback from clients, from participants and Learning and Development managers to Departmental CEO's, clearly shows the impact this program can have in your organisation. Move forward: The most aware managers/leaders recognise their responsibility to improve both competence and commitment. Results through People Results through People is an interactive workshop which probes the synergies between people and results. The Results through People workshop currently has five experienced facilitators. Their backgrounds are very different but provide each of them with a breadth and depth of life and relevant work experience that serves them well in their facilitation role. They can be contacted di- rectly or by using the online enquiry form. The facilitators are: Ross Begbie E: firstname.lastname@example.org M: 0407 774 221 Richard Rowe E: richard.rowe@optusnet. com.au Jen St Clair E: email@example.com Meg Hart McCarthy E: firstname.lastname@example.org Jo Tregear E: email@example.com firstname.lastname@example.org For more information, visit the website www.results throughpeople.com.au WHEN organisations proclaim ''we value our people'', it is viewed widely by staff as simply rhetoric -- too often it doesn't match peoples' experience. Internal staff surveys consist- ently highlight the rhetoric/reality gap. Closing that gap represents the very best opportunity for managers to improve pro- ductivity, reduce attrition and get better value for money. The workshop, Results through People (RtP), expands on a simple concept. The results an individual produces are primarily a function of two things -- competence and commitment. Competence has to do with technical skills. Most people in organisations have considerable levels of com- petence -- that's probably how they got their job. For many, there is room to improve that. But commitment levels are very variable. The most aware managers/leaders recog- nise their responsibility to improve both competence and commitment -- in themselves and in their people. And that aware- ness is demonstrated, in part, by consistent, day-to-day behaviour. The RtP workshop probes the synergies between people and their levels of competence and commitment. The best managers/ leaders create a supportive cli- mate; one that leads to increased levels of commitment. RtP is a three-day, interactive workshop, designed to help par- ticipants discover for themselves, by reflecting on their own experi- ence, the answers to the question -- what characterises the best supportive climate? As workshop participants recall those few leaders they would choose to willingly follow any- where, the common denominator that sets those leaders apart was their ability to provide such a climate for their people. This highly regarded, results- focused workshop provides a practical and empirical approach that helps managers/leaders re- assess how they can best provide that essential, supportive climate for their people, which, in turn leads to greater commitment levels and, as a result, increased productivity. Training tip Ensure that you build back-in-the-workplace coaching into the training program and give employees the workplace support they need to practice the new skills.
